Pinckney Players Summer Theater Camp 2025Wizard of Oz Jr.

Performances: June 20, 21 and/or 22 (times TBD)
Theater is an amazing way to bring so many things learned in the classroom to life. Theater camp is a great building block for developing leadership skills, confidence and collaborative abilities, as well as giving students hands-on experience with theater. This year’s camp show will be Wizard of Oz Jr. Rest assured, there will be many fun roles with something for everyone, from the experienced actor to someone who just wants to give acting a try. Auditions (onstage registrants only): April 23-24, from 6:30-8:30pm in Pathfinder Room 402. Please come prepared to sing a short song. You will also be taught a few simple dance steps to perform and do cold readings from the script.Pre-rehearsal (onstage and backstage registrants): June 7, from 9-11:30am in the Pathfinder Cafeteria. Students will receive scripts, perform a read thru and try on costumes.Set Build Days: June 13-14
On Stage ActorsParticipating on stage includes main characters and ensemble/chorus, while also helping with costumes, set and prop items. All participants are guaranteed a place in the production as long as they are among the first 60 registered. All participants receive a script and camp shirt. The eight rehearsals and three performances are all held in the Jane Tasch Performing Arts Theater.
Backstage Tech (Ages 12+ unless child has backstage experience from 2024 camp)Participating backstage includes building and dressing sets, learning to run the lights and sound boards, moving curtains and props, while also helping with costumes and stage management. All backstage tech participants are guaranteed a place in the production as long as they are among the first 10 registrants. All participants receive a script and camp shirt. The eight rehearsals and three performances are all held in the Jane Tasch Performing Arts Theater.
