Our highly-qualified teachers use the Orton-Gillingham methodology and all five pillars of literacy plus language comprehension to drive measurable gains for all students. Our programs are located within our elementary schools, Country and Farley Hill, to give our youngest learners exposure to the elementary school setting. In addition, preschool teachers work closely with our K-2 teachers in order to help all students be ready for the next step in their learning, Kindergarten!
Age Requirements & Eligibility:
In addition to the online forms, the child's birth certificate, a doctor-signed health appraisal, and a current immunization record must be turned into the Community Education Office when registering. These can be submitted in person or by emailing khultgren@pinckneypirates.org. Failure to submit these forms may cause you to lose your spot within the program.
GSRP: You must apply for GSRP through the LESA application AND enroll in Little Pirates Preschool (completing one does not transfer to the other). Additionally, any documents submitted to GSRP are not shared with Little Pirates Preschool; you must also submit the required documents to khultgren@pinckneypirates.org.
Latchkey is available before and after school for an additional fee.
Friday Child Care is available for those students attending any of the four-day preschool programs. Families must commit to all the available Fridays. If your child is not in attendance, you will still be billed (this cost is NOT covered by GSRP). This program will follow the school calendar with the exception of the last day (May 16). Parents provide lunch and snacks for their child.
