Grandpa’s Gizmos: Introduction to Microcontrollers is a hands-on adult to young adult course that puts you on the path to mastering digital electronics as a fun and useful hobby. The course includes a microcontroller and all necessary electronic components. Using stackable breadboard-friendly modules in a durable case, the course offers 30+ fun and educational projects in 4 tracks: games, music, gizmos and timekeeping. We will do a deep dive into how each component works, learn any necessary programming, show how to wire things up, and by the end of the course you will be able to design your own projects! The “cherry on top” is complete access to a free, private online community for materials, support and discussion at www.grandpasgizmos.com.

Required: Personal computer (Windows, Mac and Linux are supported); soldering kit (included) and simple hand tools (to be discussed at the first class). Ages 13-15 must be accompanied by an adult.
