Yin - Calm Yoga for Wellness (Ages 16 and older)

A relaxing quiet style of yoga that works by supporting the deep connective tissues and joints of the body: hips, spine, shoulders, knees and ankles. No yoga experience needed. Gentle seated and supine (lying) postures are held for 3-10 minutes, while a quiet focus is placed on the awareness of relaxing the body through calm conscious breathing. This class will incorporate mindful breathing exercises to assist with calming and grounding the busy mind and overworked nervous system. Bring a mat and water bottle; additional props encouraged such as block, strap and small blanket. No class 9/24 or 11/5. Instructor: Krystal Godlesky.
